I’ve always been drawn to how photography allows me to express emotions and feelings, as well as process my own thoughts while I share stories that I feel need to be more prominent.

I am a wife and mother. Two years ago, I was going to school full time as a double major and took a semester off to have my son. Having him made me cherish the power that photography has to document moments in time.

For me the beauty of photography is being able to show how diverse our world really is. I am interested in how culture and religion intersect in diverse communities. In 2019 I produced a story about the important role of Midwives in Old Order Mennonite culture. More recently, I have been working on a story in collaboration with a writer about how Afghan refugees are supporting their cultural and continuing to practice their religion after coming to the U.S.
